#HealthJusticeNOW: Build Healthy Futures Beyond COVID

🚨 NEW ANNOUNCEMENT: #HealthJusticeNOW 🚨
https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/HealthJusticeNOW

Throughout the pandemic, thousands of Illinoisans accessed affordable health coverage, food assistance, stable income, and housing when they needed help the most. Now, Legal Council needs your help in order to keep connecting our communities to these life-changing resources.

To protect the health and well-being of our communities, Legal Council made the decision to cancel our major fundraising events for the second year in a row. We are now left with the massive challenge of closing a $150,000 fundraising gap before the end of the year. By donating to Legal Council's #HealthJusticeNOW campaign, you make sure:
➡ Individuals and their families can get the resources needed to lead healthy lives, like affordable health coverage, food support, & a stable income.
➡ Illinoisans can overcome barriers to health as we fight to rebuild our systems, so that they work well for everyone.

The time for health justice is NOW. Please help us lead the way by donating at https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/HealthJusticeNOW

With the cancellation of in-person events for the second year, Legal Council for Health Justice faces the challenge of closing our fundraising gap before the end of 2021. Donate today to help us protect the health and well-being of our communities.

The safety net program Congress forgot

The maximum monthly #SSI benefit isn’t enough to afford rent for a one-bedroom apartment in ANY state. Meanwhile, beneficiaries are also prohibited from having moderate emergency savings. It’s past time to change these cruel and outdated rules that trap millions of Americans in poverty. Members of Congress must sign on to the SSI Restoration Act and #DemolishDisabledPoverty.

President Biden must work with Congress to update Supplemental Security Income for people with disabilities and seniors in the American Families Plan.

Could someone tell me that is it legal if clinics refuse to see patients with cold symptoms (No fever, no cough) during this time and send them to ER and send ER bills? Thanks in advance!
We have a tale to tell. About a company that hides it well. They can tell a thousand lies. But they have destroyed many lives. So many of us have learned that lesson well. As we have endured United's discrimination very well.
