Call for applications is open for the 46th annual Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show. Information can be found at www.pmacraftshow.org/application. The deadline to apply is April 1, 2022, with a late deadline of April 19, 2022. The juried PMA Craft Show features 13 categories of fine craft including ceramics, furniture, jewelry, fiber, glass, emerging artists and more, and will be in-person at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA, November 11-13, 2022, with a Preview Party on Thursday, November 10. PMA Craft Show artists keep 100% of their sales from the Craft Show.
The Committee reserves the right to make any changes with regard to an in-person show in 2022. Complying with any CDC, state, and local guidelines will be our first priority. Direct all questions to Show Manager Nancy O’Meara via email: na[email protected].

Then the Jorge and Darlene Pérez Prize in Public Art & Civic Design maybe for you! The City of Evanston’s Arts Council is seeking proposals from experienced professional artists and artist teams for the creation of a permanent, large-scale outdoor public art piece at the south end of Fountain Square that honors the Black roots of Evanston and the experience of Evanston’s Black residents.
The above item shall conform to the RFQ on file in the Purchasing Office. Parties interested in submitting a proposal should contact the Purchasing Office to receive a copy of the RFQ or see the City’s website at: www.cityofevanston.org/business/bids-proposals/

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) is pleased to announce the first round of recommended awards for fiscal year 2022, with 1,498 awards totaling nearly $33.2 million. Grants for Arts Projects funding spans 15 artistic disciplines and reaches communities in every state, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Recipients of the Challenge America grant program, NEA Literature Fellowships in creative writing and translation, and support for arts research projects are also included in this announcement.

The MacArthur Funds for Culture, Equity, and the Arts at the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation welcomes requests from eligible small- to mid-sized arts and cultural organizations primarily serving the city of Chicago. MacArthur-Driehaus Cycle One, open now, is for organizations whose actual expenses in the most recently completed fiscal year were below $150,000. The deadline for Cycle One applications is January 18, 2022 at 6pm Central Time.
First-time applicants, as well as organizations that have applied previously, are encouraged to review the 2022 guidelines.

The IACA congratulates Illinois artist, Gina Pannorfi, who received the award for Excellence in Art to Wear with the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show. Award winners were chosen from 195 artists across 30 states in 13 categories. Visit all artists at www.pmacraftshow.org.
From Gina: “I began my exploration of wet felt making in 2003. I believe in tradition and integrity in technique. I employ this to create 26 styles of scarves and shawls, each individually crafted and one of a kind. I am interested in color, texture, pattern and process. I approach each piece as a painting; a two-dimensional surface to be designed, manipulated and permanently altered into an object to be used on the body or in the home.”

Opportunity alert! Dance/USA Fellowships to Artists (DFA) is open for submissions. DFA offers direct support to individual artists who have a sustained and intentional practice of working through dance to address social change.
DFA will award 30 Fellowships of a minimum of $30,000 per artist. Fellowship funds may be used at the artist's discretion. Artists are invited to submit a letter of inquiry by December 8, 2021 at 6:00pm EST.
