3 High-Value Scholarships for DACA Students - CollegeGreenlight

The Dream.US Scholarship Program

What you’ll win if selected & why you should apply: This scholarship will offer up to $25,000 for a bachelor’s degree and $12,500 for an associate’s degree depending on financial need and cost of attendance at the college you will attend. The big news: they offer numerous awards to qualifying students. In 2015, they awarded over 500 scholarships between their programs for first-time college students and community college transfer students.

Who is eligible: Students with DACA or TPS status, an unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have come to the U.S. before their sixteenth birthday, and are eligible for in-state tuition at one of the scholarship’s partner colleges.

What you should know: It’s important to note that this scholarship is only available to students who are accepted to one of the scholarship program’s partner colleges—check their list of colleges and to see if you fit this requirement. You don’t necessarily have to be accepted before you apply (you can apply to the college at the same time as the scholarship) but you are required to enroll at one of the partner colleges to be eligible. http://www.thedream.us/scholars/.
Find their list of partner colleges organized by state here. http://www.thedream.us/colleges/

Application Deadline: February 15th, 2016
