We are grateful to you all for your participation and support in our organization and sincerely hope that you continue to be a part of VVS even after life takes you beyond the halls of IIT. Tonight, we will watch ‘Gita Concise,’ a movie directed by His Holiness Bhaktimarga Swami. Bhaktimarga Swami masterfully brings the Gita to life through powerful dramatic representations of key concepts illustrated in the Bhagavad Gita As It Is. Popcorn will also be provided during the film.

This week we will focus on taking a deeper look at the nature of service - the act of giving and receiving and the role it plays in our relationships. There is a constant tug between the forces of giving and taking. When balance is achieved, then the heart becomes nourished and our life fulfilled.

Last week we explored the distinction between body, mind, and soul with some thoughtful discussion, exercises, and a guided meditation. Join us this week as we take this exploration one step further, diving into the realm of what it means to act with an understanding of the layers of identity. What is that intrinsic quality that truly makes us human? And how can we lead our lives to be more aligned with that core quality?

Vedic Vision Society (VVS) is a student organisation at Illinois Institute of Technology, which had been founded in 2003 for the sole purpose of educating students on "The Science of Happiness". We have a weekly event during the Fall and Spring semesters: "Krishna Talk" on Fridays from 7.30 pm - 8.30 pm at Wishnick Hall Room 116 (3255 S Dearborn St). A renowned speaker, who is a senior spiritual practitioner, would conduct discussions on topics such as time management, dealing with stress, yoga, karma etc. We also serve free sumptuous karma-free vegetarian food to all attendees!
