The Whitney Young Debate Team had a spectacular weekend at the CDL City Championships!

Gloria Oladipo and Sammie Shields were finalists (Gloria was 9th speaker)
Henry Ferolie and Charlie Bazzell were semifinalists (Henry was 2nd speaker, Charlie was 12th)
Madison Sullivan and Jared Flippen were quarterfinalists (Madison was 4th speaker, Jared was 11th)
Eve Robinson and Ayyad Jacob were also quarterfinalists (Eve was 13th speaker)
Keren Gekker and Diana Pham were octofinalists (Keren was 7th speaker)

In addition, we had two novice teams in octofinals and one quarterfinalist team! Congrats and go Dolphins!

Proud of the Dolphin Debate team's success at T1-The Windy City Classic. Four teams broke to quarters, two advanced to the semifinals, and congratulations to our finalist team RJ! Go Dolphins!

The Dolphins are extremely proud of Whitney Young BF (Henry Ferolie and Charlie Bazzell) for going 6-0 in preliminary rounds, getting to semifinals, and receiving their first Tournament of Champions bid of the year at the Mid-America Cup!

WY Debate did amazing at Dowling this weekend:
Sammie Shields and Eve Robinson got double octo-finals for Varsity. Madison Sullivan and Jared Flippen won the entire tournament for the JV division. Ayyad Jacob and Jose Magana got to semi-finals for JV as well. Congrats Y'all!
