Thoughts about the RobinHood GameStop situation? Is anyone as distressed as I am? Either you’re a free platform for trading or you’re not. If you’re not, then let traders know upfront that you’ll be policing/denying their trades to reduce market volatility. I’d like to see a congressional hearing on the fairness of these actions today.

“Robinhood went a step further Thursday by banning users from buying GameStop, AMC, Best Buy (BBY), Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY), Nokia (NOK) and other Reddit darlings. Other brokers took similar steps.”

Community Vaccination Program

Cook County's COVID-19 Vaccine Registration website is now open, https://vaccine.cookcountyil.gov/.

If you are in tier 1B, the site will give you a list of locations, and the time slots available. The number of appointments available is solely based on how many vaccines they have. They are also prioritizing those with underlying conditions, so it may take some waiting before you find an open time slot. Once you do find a time slot, it will allow you to make an appointment.

If you are in Tier 1C or 2 then you can sign up to be notified when the vaccine is available to you.

While a small subset of people have caused total short-term disruption in the home of our well-established democracy, Trump has spent his day dumping kerosene on the fire. Trump thrives on chaos, which is exactly what the drafters of our Constitution sought to avoid. Biden will be sworn in and will be President. But let’s be clear, Trump’s actions today have cemented that he is not for American democratic values. That’s in part why we’re celebrating an extraordinary and historic win in Georgia today. Republicans and Democrats have more shared values than opposing ones, like our love of our families, communities, our well thought-out constitution, free speech and liberty. That’s why we fight to keep the focus on bipartisan service, civility and the evolving maturity of our laws.

Restaurant, bar, and coffee shop employees are struggling.
There is still help available. Hi, my name is Melissa, and I'm a constituent of yours. I am calling to urge you to support families who have been previously denied stable housing by voting to adopt the Just Housing Amendment rules set forth by the Human Rights Commission.
Hello Commissioner, I was just reviewing my county tax assessment and my assessed value has increased over 100% which is ridiculous because my small 800 sqf condo's selling value certainly hasn't doubled. This is really serious. My property tax has DOUBLED and that is with the homeowner exemption. Are you looking into how to address this situation for residents? Thank you
