SAMS Global Response: Human Connection

To all aspiring to be in the healthcare field, we must remember foundationally "Healthcare is about the human connection."
SAMS Global Response is providing commendable humanitarian work and care to a vulnerable community we don't hear much about (if at all) from mainstream media outlets - Displaced Refugees.
Their work in the various camps (Eko & al Hara just being a couple of the government run ones) in Greece is beautiful and moving, and makes you believe that we shouldn't give up on humanity just yet.

Beautifully produced by E-board member Mahdi Sahloul

See what Sami Shabeeb, our co-treasurer and Syrian-American student at Loyola who aspires to one day work with Doctors without Borders, has to say about SAMP:
"Student Advocates for Medicine in Politics (SAMP) is important to me because I want to live a life helping others. The problems that humanity faces in domestic areas and overseas are too large for us to ignore and SAMP makes the approach to assist that much easier. As a first generation Syrian-American who recently traveled to a third-world country to provide medical aid, the view on the world of medicine in politics needs to be ever-magnifying. An organization that strives to highlight the historical overlap of medicine in politics, namely with healthcare, I can not contain my excitement to be involved with SAMP."
