We had a fabulous time at K-State last week. K-State sponsors the Fulbright Senior Scholarship for senior academics, government scientists, and other key researchers.

Fulbright Scholar Barbara Kachigunda is using her statistics background to study wheat grass. The spread of wheat blast threatens global food security, so surveillance and monitoring are key to minimize the threat posed by this pathogen. This project has the capacity to determine the risk of the pathogen Magnaporthe geisha to the Australian grain industry and the wider environment, and the likelihood of the pathogen affecting Australian and USA wheat strains.

We are beyond excited to share that our wonderful film Stairs has won first prize for a Live Action Short Film at the 38th Annual Chicago International Children's Film Festival

Stairs is a beautiful film, inclusively made in Mongolia by Bus Stop Films in partnership with the Arts Council of Mongolia.

This means Bus Stop Films could be adding an Oscar to our collection as the 38th Annual Chicago International Children's Film Festival is an Oscar qualifying festival and the win means that Stairs is now entered into the @Oscars® Short Film category.

We can’t wait to share our film with the world and show what can be achieved through inclusive filmmaking!

The film was funded by an Australian Cultural Diplomacy Grant.

This year marks 100 years since President Coolidge and President Truman came to Kansas City for the WWI Museum & Memorial Site Dedication. This year is also the 70th anniversary of 🇦🇺 and 🇺🇸 formal alliance.

Consul General Bushby was honored to pay tribute to all veterans at WWI Museum today ❤️ Since the Battle of Hamel, Australian troops have fought alongside American troops in every major conflict. In the last century our #mateship has brought us even closer together.

Today Consul General Bushby also announced a collaboration between Australia and the National WWI Museum and Memorial to honour the service of Indigenous Australians in WWI. The collaboration will result in a gift to the Museum’s collection, representing the service of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples across Australia, in keeping with traditional storytelling methods.

“For those who leave never to return, for those who return but are never the same” #RemembranceDay Lest we forget
