Poetry Night at the Outdoor Café, 3257 W Bryn Mawr is pleased to announce that we will be featuring Gail Goepfert, poet and photographer from Illinois, with an open mic to follow.

Gail is currently an associate editor of RHINO Poetry and has received three Pushcart nominations. Her chapbook, A Mind on Pain, was published by Finishing Line Press in early 2015. Her most recent book, Tapping Roots, was just released this spring. Gail’s third book, Get Up Said the World will be published in 2019 by Cervena Barva Press.

Recent and forthcoming publications include Kudzu House, Switchgrass, Stoneboat Review, The Penn Review, and Beloit Poetry, just to mention a few.

This event will be hosted by Chicago poets Jenene Ravesloot and Tom Roby IV.

Future features, open mics, and other literary events will take place every 1st and 3rd Friday of each month, 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Street parking is available. Enjoy the conviviality of the Outdoor Café, its fine selection of coffee, tea, desserts, sandwiches, and great poetry.
