Permanency Study at the University of Chicago Permanency Study at the University of Chicago The purpose of the Permanency Study is to understand how young adults who experienced the foster care system make meaning of family during and after foster care.

Young adults who exited foster through adoption, subsidized guardianship, or a relative caretaker are eligible for study participation.
