At last night’s City Council meeting, we recognized AISIN Texas Corporation for its continued investment in Cibolo.

Since opening its first Texas manufacturing facility here in 2019, AISIN has invested approximately $400 million and created hundreds of local jobs.

❤️ Cibolo & surrounding community, here’s a simple way to help provide comfort to someone during one of the hardest moments of their life. A community donation drive is underway benefiting Thriving Hearts Crisis Center in Guadalupe County.

They are collecting:
🧸 Stuffed animals
🛏️ Blankets
📖 Bibles

For individuals and families arriving at a crisis center, sometimes with little more than what they’re wearing, something as simple as a warm blanket or stuffed animal can provide a small sense of comfort and security during an incredibly difficult time.

July was BUSY, Cibolo! 💙 And I’m excited to share a quick look at some of the places I went, people I met, and issues I worked on throughout the month.

From celebrating the 4th of July and spending time with our seniors and Animal Services, to learning more about our city operations, working through the budget, and continuing conversations about growth and development, there was a lot happening!

📣 Calling all Cibolo students!

There’s still time to apply for the Cibolo Youth Advisory Committee (CYAC)! Applications close Friday, August 14.

CYAC is a great opportunity for students to:
⭐ Gain firsthand experience with local government
⭐ Build leadership skills
⭐ Share their ideas and perspectives
⭐ Help shape the future of Cibolo

Students must be under 18, currently enrolled in grades 7–12, and live within the City of Cibolo or its ETJ.

If you know a student who would be a great fit, please encourage them to apply and share this opportunity!

🐾 Sometimes, making a difference is as simple as taking a dog for a walk.

During my visit with Cibolo Animal Services, I learned there are so many ways our community can spend time with the dogs waiting for their forever homes, and you don’t have to foster or adopt to help.

You can volunteer to take a dog for a walk, play a game of fetch, treat them to a pup cup, or even take them out for a little adventure.

That time outside the shelter gives them exercise, enrichment, socialization, and, most importantly, some extra love and attention.

If you’ve been wanting to help our local animals but aren’t able to foster or adopt, this could be a great way to get involved. ❤️

Our Cibolo Police Department recently shared its July monthly stats, and I wanted to take a moment to recognize the men and women who serve our community every day.

Behind each of these numbers is an officer responding to a call, helping a resident, investigating an incident, keeping our roads safer, or simply being present in our community.

Thank you to our Cibolo PD officers and staff for the work you do 24/7 and thank you to our residents who continue to be active partners in keeping Cibolo safe. 💙
