Last night Deputy Johnson was dispatched for an injured animal on Kellog Ave. Upon arrival he located an injured bald Eagle in the roadway. Deputy Johnson collected the juvenile bird and drove it to a shelter for treatment.

Reminder: Parking Restricted in Township Neighborhoods

When it’s the day of your party or event at your home, the last thing on your mind is probably parking.

Anderson Township officials offer a friendly reminder to residents planning neighborhood events - due to safety services access complications, most neighborhoods allow parking on only one side of the street.

Parking prohibitions, which were initiated 20 years ago, may not always be noticed because signs are sometimes posted at the beginning of subdivisions. Two styles of “no parking” signs warn residents about the parking limitations in Anderson Township.

As a reminder, parking is prohibited in a cul-de-sac, another fact that is often forgotten.

Other parking prohibitions include:
-No parking within an intersection
-No parking within 30 feet of a stop sign
-No parking in front of a public or private driveway
