Grasslands Federal Credit Union is honored to partner with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines in presenting a Member Impact Fund grant to MSU Extension-McCone County in the amount of $51,446!

FHLB Des Moines generously matched more than $2.40 for every $1 contributed by its member institutions. Through the program, they were able to fund 287 applications across Montana that directly impact local community organizations.

The McCone County 4-H Council and McCone County Fair Board are actively working to rebuild a cherished community building lost in a devastating fire in early 2025. The planned facility will serve the community not only during August fair and 4-H events, but also year round for educational workshops, family gatherings, community organization meetings, weddings, and class reunions. We are excited to partner with them in helping to make their vision a reality!

A huge thank you to all the ladies who came out to learn about herbs and native plants!
The class was highly interactive and full of great discussion, hands-on learning, smelling, touching, and exploring different herbs and Eastern Montana native plants. It was wonderful to see everyone engaged, asking questions, and sharing experiences.
We covered common herbs, native plants, simple ways to use them, and how herbs have been used throughout history.

Thank you all for making the class so much fun and for being willing to learn alongside each other.
We appreciate everyone who attended and look forward to hosting more classes in the future!
Stay tuned… Herbs 201 is coming in June!!

Another huge thank you goes to Faith Assembly of God Church for their generous donation to purchase 12 eight-foot tables and 96 chairs for the new Fairgrounds kitchen building. What an incredible contribution to the project and to our community!

Huge thank you to Walleye Unlimited for their generous $5,000 donation toward the Fairgrounds kitchen building project!

The continued community support and outpouring of generosity has been absolutely unfathomable. Every donation brings us one step closer to creating a space that will serve our community for years to come.

We are incredibly thankful for your support and belief in this project. Thank you again for investing in the future of our fairgrounds and community!

Another huge step forward for the new fairgrounds kitchen building!

We are excited to announce that Grasslands FCU has committed $15,000 toward the new construction of the fair building. Through a generous matching program with the Federal Home Loan Bank, an additional $36,446 has been awarded bringing the total donation to an incredible $51,446!

We truly cannot say thank you enough for the continued support of this project, our 4-H program, and our community. Every donation and every show of support helps move this project closer to becoming a reality.

Projects like this do not happen without businesses, organizations, and community members stepping up and believing in the future of our fairgrounds and youth programs.

Thank you again to Grasslands FCU and the Federal Home Loan Bank for investing in our community and supporting the future of McCone County 4-H and the fairgrounds.
