In 2023 and 2025 the Clarence Town Board voted to do a feasibility study for creating a garbage district in town. They said the results showed it wasn’t feasible. But when faced with a FOIL request to see the study, they had nothing to show beyond one email. Glad to hear they are finally doing the study they voted to do years ago.

Why is trash pickup so expensive in Clarence? It’s a question more residents are starting to ask—and for some, it’s becoming a growing concern.

📸 Coming soon to a community page near you…

“Does anyone recognize this person? They were on my porch earlier holding a clipboard and talking about elections. Should I be concerned??”

👀 Don’t worry, neighbors! It’s probably just one of our friendly volunteers out collecting signatures for petition season.

Every spring, candidates and volunteers head out into the community to gather signatures so they can appear on the ballot in November. That means clipboards, doorbells, and lots of quick chats with voters.

So if you see someone with a clipboard and a hopeful smile, there’s a good chance they’re not suspicious… they’re just participating in democracy.

✍️ If you’re registered to vote and willing to sign, you’re helping make sure voters have choices on the ballot!

No more "thoughts and prayers." The school was mid prayer when they were attacked. We need ACTION! Gun violence is a public health crisis in our country, and it needs to be addressed. Gun safety legislation, community prevention, and mental health support would be a great place to start.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey called for empathy and support for the families of victims killed in a shooting during a Mass at the Annunciation Catholic School.

He told people not to say “this is about thoughts and prayers” after a gunman opened fire at the school.

“These kids were literally praying,” he said.

Two children are dead and multiple people are injured. Two children are in critical condition. The suspected shooter, a man in his 20s, is believed to have died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
