Today, meet Mrs. Madelyn Garrett, an Elementary Teacher Resident in her final year of apprenticeship at Cumberland Heights Elementary School. Madelyn shared, "I love feeling supported and heard. This isn't your typical college experience and I personally think it is better. You get to be apart of a family for 3 years and supported by your MCL, school, and program. I am way more confident in myself than I was when I first started the program. I feel like I got one and one experience on every aspect of how to be a teacher. This allowed me to see the behind the scenes part and understand every aspect that involves being a teacher."

Today, we are putting the spotlight on Mrs. Tori Carder, a teacher resident in her final year at Ringgold Elementary School.

Tori's mentor, Mrs. Toni Melton, shared, "Mrs. Carder planned such a fun, hands-on lesson to let students show what they’ve learned about landforms! After learning about Earth’s different physical features, students put their learning into action by creating their own salt dough landform models. Such a fun way to make their learning come to life, and a lesson they won’t forget!"
