BOLO MISSING HIKER - AT GA Section between Wolf Laurel Top and Low Gap Shelter.
My friend's hiking partner PJ, has not been seen since I saw him (I was day hiking) at Wolf Laurel Top yesterday (Sunday, Oct. 15th) around 3:45 pm. His trail name is "Turtlefoot" and he's wearing a kilt. He's a husky guy and around 5'8"
Apparently I'm the last known person to have seen him.

t's been pretty cold and wet in North Ga the last few days, and dipped into freezing temps last night - White County is putting together a SAR team now. He was hiking with with my friend and other hikers who were section hiking to Unicoi Gap for a multi day gear shake-down. She got hurt and had to get off trail. The last I saw him was descending from Wolf Laurel Top. He was supposed to meet the group he was hiking with at Whitley Gap Shelter last night (SUNDAY) and did not show up. Low Gap Shelter is today's meeting place, and there has been no sign of him. He is not from GA.

Update White, Lunpkin and Union Counties have him as an official missing person now. SAR is going out tomorrow. He did not show at either prearranged Shelter meetup

Here is her post: My hiking partner PJ hasn't been seen or heard from since 3pm yesterday. They are putting together search and rescue teams to find him. He would be somewhere between Wolf Laurel Top where my friend last saw him around 3pm yesterday and Low Gap Shelter where he is scheduled to arrive to camp tonight. I haven't seen or heard from him since noon yesterday and his cell phone was about to die and wasn't charging after getting wet Wednesday night. I got off trail around 4pm yesterday after I fell and got hurt coming down Cowrock. Yal please pray he's found and is safe. If anyone wants to hike that area and help look for him you're welcome too. I cant hike. Ugh. He is wearing a kilt and possibly an orange poncho. It's wet and cold up there today I've heard. His trail name is Turtlefoot.
