🚒 Monday Night Training 🚒

Training never stops for the Clewiston Fire Department!

Monday evening, our firefighters spent the night sharpening their pump operations and hose deployment techniques. These hands-on drills help ensure our crews can quickly establish a reliable water supply, operate our apparatus efficiently, and deliver water where it’s needed most during an emergency.

Every training session builds confidence, strengthens teamwork, and prepares our firefighters to respond safely and effectively when our community needs us.

A big thank you to all of our dedicated firefighters who continue to invest their time and effort into becoming better every day. Your commitment to training is what helps keep Clewiston safe.

A huge thank you to Central Elementary School for allowing the Clewiston Fire Department to use your parking lot for our Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) training. 🚒🚨

Training like this is essential to ensuring our firefighters are prepared to safely and confidently respond when our community needs us most. EVOC gives both experienced members and our new volunteer firefighters valuable hands-on experience operating emergency vehicles in a controlled environment, helping build the skills and confidence needed before responding to real emergencies.

We truly appreciate Central Elementary’s support and partnership in helping us provide this important training. It’s because of community partners like you that we can continue to strengthen our department and better serve the citizens of Clewiston.

Burn Ban Notice from Hendry County, this includes Clewiston. See post from Hendry County below for more details.

Hendry County Burn Ban Lifted

(June 16, 2026) – LaBelle, Fla. –The burn ban on unregulated outdoor fires in Hendry County has been lifted effective June 16, 2026.

Residents are asked to always exercise caution when burning outside and keep the following safety precautions in mind:

· Keep burn piles small and manageable and no greater than 8 feet in diameter or it will require authorization from Florida Forest Service
· Keep an open area and never leave it unattended
· Have a water source readily available
· Ensure the fire is completely out before leaving the area.
· The fire must be ignited after 9am eastern time and must be extinguished one hour before sunset.
· Check the weather conditions before burning

Today, we pause not to celebrate, but to remember.
We remember the brave men and women who left behind their families, their dreams, and their futures so that we could live in freedom. Their sacrifice came at a cost that can never truly be repaid.

Behind every flag is a hero. Behind every hero is a family carrying a loss that never fades.

As we gather with loved ones today, may we never forget those who never made it home. We honor their courage, their selflessness, and the legacy they left behind. Their names may fade from headlines, but their sacrifice will live on forever in the heart of this nation.

From all of us at the Clewiston Fire Department, thank you to our fallen heroes and the families who continue to carry their memory with strength and pride. ❤️🤍💙

The Clewiston Fire Department proudly honors the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial and the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

We especially recognize the most recent loss here in Florida—a 59-year-old volunteer firefighter from Hilliard who tragically passed while on duty fighting a brush fire. His dedication, courage, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

Please join us in keeping his family, department, and community in your thoughts and prayers.

On April 2nd, students from CCHS visited Clewiston Fire Department to give back and serve their community. We are incredibly grateful for their time, energy, and willingness to help others. It’s always inspiring to see the next generation stepping up and making a difference!

Thank you to everyone involved in the RUSH (Rising Up to Serve Him) program for your dedication to service and compassion. We appreciate you more than you know!

Now’s the perfect time to clean up your property and safely dispose of unwanted items. During Amnesty Week, Hendry County residents can bring in approved items without the usual fees at participating Waste Management sites.
