For those of you who haven’t heard yet, the heavy rains and flooding across West Virginia hit Babcock State Park pretty hard. 🌧️

Glade Creek rose enough to take out two bridges, including the Narrow Gauge bridge we traditionally use for Sticks & Stones.

The good news? The trails are in good shape, we’ve been working closely with the park, and we already have a Plan B course ready if the bridge isn’t replaced by race day. Same start. Same finish. Still point to point. Still October 10. 🌲

Registration is open through September 27, so if you’ve been wondering whether the race is still happening, the answer is YES. Get signed up and we’ll see you at Babcock. 👟

The Gristmill Grinder had you looping your way through Babcock for 13.1 miles. The 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐬 & 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝟏𝟓𝐊 changes it up completely. 👀

This fall, you’re going 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭.

You’ll start at Camp Washington-Carver, make your way along the Mann’s Creek rim, drop into the canyon, pass by the Grist Mill, and keep pushing toward Skyline and the finish.

New course. New challenge. Same Babcock magic.

The mill in the background, one runner locked in, and that kind of scenery that almost makes you forget your legs are working overtime. Almost.

Every good race has people making sure no one gets left behind. 👏

These were our sweeps bringing up the back of the pack at the Gristmill Grinder, and somehow they still made it look like the most fun assignment of the day.

That same kind of race-day support is coming back this fall for the Sticks & Stones 15K on October 10, 2026 at Babcock State Park.

Come run it, hike it, grind it out, and know there are good people out there with you all the way to the end.

The most important part of the start line: making sure Strava knows this happened. 😂⌚

Watches synced. Apps open. GPS searching for a signal. Everyone pretending they’re totally relaxed while checking their stats one last time.

We’ll be doing it all over again this fall at the Sticks & Stones 15K on October 10, 2026 at Babcock State Park.

You don’t have to be the fastest one on the course to be part of race day. Sometimes you just have to show up, keep moving, and have a really good time doing it.
