Proud to support the St. George Greek Festival and the vibrant Greek community that helps make Clifton such a special place to live.
One of the things I love most about Clifton is that our city is built on strong cultures, traditions, faith, family, and neighbors coming together. Supporting community events like this is about celebrating what makes Clifton unique and bringing people together.
A special thank you to Dottie, Lynn, Deana, and Sophia for your dedication and hard work in making this festival possible.
If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend, stop by the St. George Greek Festival. Enjoy the food, music, culture, and hospitality that the Greek community is known for.
Clifton is strongest when we support one another. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

Today I had the opportunity to tour Color Street right here in Clifton and spend time with its founder and CEO, Fa Park.

His story is incredible. He came to America from South Korea in the early 1980s pursuing a career in opera. One day, while riding a bus in New York City, he noticed a woman trying to paint her nails in traffic and thought there had to be a better way.

That simple observation turned into an idea. That idea turned into innovation. And today, it has become a company with dozens of patents, millions of customers, and manufacturing jobs right here in Clifton.

What stood out to me most was not just the product. It was the reminder that businesses create opportunity. Every factory, warehouse, office, and small business helps support families, creates jobs, and strengthens our community.

If we want a stronger Clifton, we need to support the entrepreneurs, innovators, and manufacturers who choose to invest here. Their success becomes our city's success.

Thank you to Fa Park for the tour and for showing what is possible when hard work, creativity, and persistence come together.

Some of the best examples of the American Dream are not found in textbooks. They are being built right here in Clifton.

Today, Clifton came together as one community to honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our country. While the Memorial Day Parade was unfortunately cancelled due to weather, the spirit of remembrance throughout our city remained stronger than ever.

I had the honor of attending the Memorial Service at the Flag Barn on the City Hall grounds, the Memorial Day Service at the Veteran’s Monument at Main Memorial Park, and later the ceremony at the Athenia Veterans Post. Seeing residents, veterans, and families come together in unity was truly moving.

Today, we remembered the 283 Clifton residents who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation and reflected on the freedoms we enjoy because of them.

A special recognition goes to Deana Rovetto, our office manager and a veteran herself, who proudly carried the Purple Heart and will later be recognized in honor of her son who is no longer with us. Families like hers remind us that Memorial Day is not just about history; it is about sacrifice, strength, and love carried by families in our own community every single day.

Thank you as well to Councilman and veteran Tony Latona for his heartfelt remarks honoring our heroes and reminding us of the true meaning of Memorial Day.

And thank you to my team especially Faria, Qasim, and Ahab for being present throughout the day and helping support our community during these important events.

Today was not about politics. It was about respect, remembrance, gratitude, and community.

May we never forget those who gave their lives for our country and our freedoms.

This week, we had the honor of attending the 2026 New Jersey Heart Ball hosted by the American Heart Association at The Legacy Castle. An inspiring evening bringing together healthcare leaders, researchers, and community members united around one mission; fighting heart disease and stroke while supporting lifesaving research, education, and prevention programs.

Proud to support Dr. Anuj Shah, who was recognized as one of only three Torch Bearers and the sole cardiologist honored for leadership and impact. A well-deserved recognition for someone deeply committed to advancing cardiovascular care in our communities.

Events like this are a reminder that healthcare goes beyond clinics and hospitals: it is about advocacy, awareness, prevention, and coming together to make a real difference.
Thank you to the American Heart Association and everyone involved for an incredible evening dedicated to saving lives and strengthening communities. ❤️

Clifton lost a HERO, dedicated his life to this city and its people.
Councilman Bill Gibson served Clifton for decades: from animal control officer, to Clifton Police Officer, to Councilman. His commitment to public service and love for this community never stopped.

I had the opportunity to spend little time with Bill , and he was always kind, welcoming, and deeply committed to Clifton. He cared about this city and the people in it.

My thoughts and prayers are with Robin, his family, friends, and everyone mourning this tremendous loss.
May he rest in peace.

Honored and humbled to be featured by Patricia Bullon from Punto D, aka Punto de Encuentro Internacional Magazine.

Patricia is a respected journalist, entrepreneur, artist, and former President of the Hispanic State Parade of New Jersey. She was also selected in 2026 as one of New Jersey’s Top 25 Most Influential Women during International Women’s Month — a recognition that truly reflects her years of leadership and dedication to the community.

This Mother’s Day feature honoring my mother and her story meant a great deal to me personally. My mother believed deeply in giving back and worked very closely with the Latino community throughout her life. Watching her serve others with compassion, kindness, and respect shaped who I am today.

Her legacy continues to inspire me every day — not only as a healthcare provider, but as a member of this diverse and beautiful community we call home.

Thank you Patricia for recognizing her story and the impact she had on so many lives.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to speak with Clifton residents about my vision for our city and the plans I hope to bring forward for our community.

One project that is especially important to me personally is expanding services for our senior citizens.

Our seniors built this city.
They raised families here.
They worked here.
They gave their time, energy, and lives to this community.

They deserve dignity, accessibility, and support.

That’s why I am already actively working on identifying grants and outside funding opportunities that could help provide FREE transportation options for Clifton seniors — helping them get to medical appointments, shopping centers, community programs, and everyday necessities more easily and independently.

For many seniors, transportation is not just convenience.
It’s connection.
It’s independence.
It’s quality of life.

This is bigger than politics.

It’s about making sure the people who spent their lives taking care of our community know their community still cares about them.

Clifton should be a city where every generation feels valued.

Today was bigger than a groundbreaking.

It was about legacy, family, and investing in the next generation of Clifton.

I had the honor of attending the Nash Park Splash Pad groundbreaking ceremony dedicated to Councilman Bill Gibson for his years of service and commitment to our city.

Two weeks ago, I sat with Bill Gibson at his home, and one thing he told me stayed in my mind ever since:

“I never wanted kids in Clifton to have nothing to do during the summer.”

That one sentence said everything about who he is.
Not politics.
Not headlines.
Just genuine care for the children and families of Clifton.

That’s what this splash pad represents.

A safe place for kids to laugh, play, cool off, and make memories for years to come.

It was great seeing our Mayor, members of the Clifton Council, and of course our longtime Mayor James Anzaldi, whose dedication helped shape Clifton for generations.

I also want to acknowledge Robin Gibson, who could not attend today but is truly a wonderful person, along with Scott Gibson, and the entire Gibson family. Their family’s impact on Clifton is part of this city’s story and legacy.

This is what Clifton is about.

Neighbors.
Families.
Community.
And making sure the next generation has something to smile about.

Putting Clifton First. Always.

During National Police Week, we recognize and thank the men and women of law enforcement who put service above self every single day.

Thank you to the officers who protect our neighborhoods, respond in moments of crisis, and work tirelessly to keep Clifton safe. Your dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to the community do not go unnoticed.

We also honor the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and keep their families in our thoughts and prayers.

On behalf of my family and our community — thank you for your service. 💙

Today, we celebrate the strength, sacrifice, and love of all mothers. Mothers are truly the foundation of every household — guiding families, holding everything together through difficult times, and shaping the next generation with compassion, resilience, and care.

To every mom, grandmother, single mother, stepmother, and mother figure in our community: thank you for all that you do, often without recognition. Your impact reaches far beyond your own home and helps strengthen our entire community.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms. 🌸
