National Weather Service Warning: Some slick roads are possible, especially on elevated surfaces, bridges, and overpasses, throughout the day Monday, as snow is beginning to move into the area.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through 1 AM Tuesday for both winter precipitation and cold temperatures Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Snow accumulations of 1/2 to 2 inches are expected area-wide, with most accumulations on grassy and elevated surfaces.

A transition to freezing rain or freezing drizzle is expected tonight through Tuesday morning for areas south of the Missouri River. A light glaze of ice is possible leading to slick conditions. Temperatures are expected to warm above freezing Tuesday afternoon changing any precipitation over to liquid.

Updated: Missouri COVID-19 for Friday October 23, 2020: Department of Health reports 164,534 positive cases and are saddened by the loss of 2,688 citizens of Missouri to COVID-19. Henry County has a total of 396 positive cases (7 deaths). Reports of positive cases for adjacent Counties: Cass 1,967 (29 deaths); Johnson 1,642 (15 deaths); Pettis 1,524 (15 deaths); Benton 473 (5 deaths); Bates 234 (5 deaths); & St. Clair 117 (1 death).

The Henry County, Missouri Office of Emergency Management's (OEM) mission is to provide a resilient emergency management structure dedicated to public safety and welfare through preservation of life, health, property, and the environment. OEM's vision is to establish and grow a community-centric approach to mitigation, preparedness, prevention, response, and recovery activities. OEM works before, during, and after emergencies to minimize impacts on the community. We operate in conjunction with other government agencies, the private sector, and community stakeholders to advocate for preparedness, prevention, response, recovery, and mitigation.

OEM's main objective is to build a resilient community that withstands all hazards, adapts quickly to disruptions, and rapidly resumes​ day-to-day activities. By adopting an all hazards approach in planning, training, and exercising, Henry County, Missouri has a greatly enhanced ability to respond to and recover from disasters.

Henry County has a total of 73 positive cases (3 deaths), with currently 1 hospitalized. O CLOSED Northwest of Clinton, Aug. 6 for Pipe Work Where: Henry County Route O northwest of Clinton between NW 500 Road and NW 771 Road When: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, August 6 What: Route O CLOSED to allow MoDOT crews to replace deteriorating drain pipe underneath the road Traffic Impacts: • Both Route B lanes CLOSED where crews are working • Drivers will have access to entrances at either end of the work zone, but will not be able to travel through the work zone • No signed detour • Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the work zone • Drivers should find alternate route Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
