Congratulations to Rebecca Bennett on winning a close contest at the Hunterdon County Democratic Committee endorsement convention!

The first round was incredibly tight, with strong support for the top four candidates — a great example of grassroots engagement in our community.

First Round (187 votes):
• Bennett – 55 (29%)
• Varela – 47 (25%)
• Roth – 42 (22%)
• O’Rourke – 39 (21%)
• Shah – 4 (2%)

Because no candidate received a majority, the top two advanced to a run-off.

Run-Off (170 votes):
• Bennett – 94 (55%)
• Varela – 76 (45%)

John Kashwick and Kim Stentz filed their petition this morning to run for re-election to the Clinton Town Council. It has been an honor and a responsibility to serve the residents of the Town of Clinton, and we are proud of the work accomplished on behalf of the community. We are seeking re-election to continue providing thoughtful, steady leadership that balances fiscal responsibility with a strong commitment to protecting our natural environment, preserving Clinton’s character, and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents. We look forward to continuing to work collaboratively to address the challenges ahead while planning responsibly for the Town’s future.

It was so packed with Dems, it was hard to get in without jostling someone's elbow, just as it was difficult to utter the name "Donald Trump"

Congratulations to Michael and Michele!

Thank you, Hunterdon Democrats.

Yesterday our county committee came together for a special meeting and election. We are proud to share that Michael Drulis was elected Chair and Michele Liebtag was elected Vice Chair of the Hunterdon County Democratic Committee.

We also want to share our sincere appreciation for Khush Pall and Dorothy Dawood for stepping up, putting in the work, and giving our members strong choices. Their commitment to our party and our communities deserves real recognition.

Thank you to every member who showed up, cast a vote, and helped strengthen our democratic process. Our work continues together.

A quick observation from Tuesday’s election:
While Clinton Town has been trending blue at the federal level for years, this is the first time in at least this century that a Democratic candidate for governor has prevailed locally.

2021: 🟥 Jack Ciattarelli (R) – 654 | Phil Murphy (D) – 614

I asked myself almost every day what I can do to make a difference in this world - and voting is always at the top of the list! If you can, please go and vote early. The data collected is so valuable in making sure every Dem gets to the polls.
