It has been suggested that I misrepresented the position I held in the County Clerkโ€™s Office, and that is simply not accurate.

Voters deserve clear and accurate information, so I want to take a moment to clarify my experience in the County Clerk and Recorderโ€™s Office.

I have been the Tax Administrator since August 2018. After the former County Clerk retired in November 2022, I was the only person remaining in the office who knew that position inside and out, which was just one of the aspects that helped keep the office running.

Below is a copy of an email between myself and the current County Clerk where my title is listed as Tax Administrator.

My goal is simply to set the record straight about my experience and the work I have done in that office. I understand the responsibilities of that position and many of the positions within the office. I have the knowledge to do the job, and I am grateful for the continued support of the office staff.

My focus has always been on serving the taxpayers of this county, and that is exactly what I will continue to do.

This campaign hasnโ€™t been about politics for me.

Itโ€™s been about showing up and putting in the work.

Over the past months, Iโ€™ve knocked on doors across DeWitt County. Iโ€™ve sat in living rooms and listened to your concerns. Iโ€™ve mailed postcards, hosted meet-and-greets, and shared my message on the radio and throughout our community.

Iโ€™ve done the work because ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ.

I stepped forward to run for DeWitt County Clerk & Recorder because the stewardship of public records and elections matters. Our county deserves leadership that is present, careful, transparent, and rooted in integrity.

If elected, I will focus on:
