Essentia Health officially opens its expanded Cloquet Clinic, nearly doubling in size to offer more primary and specialty care services to the local community.

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

The Carlton County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind everyone to stay alert for scam phone calls.

We have received reports of scammers spoofing local bank phone numbers to make it appear that your bank is calling. Their goal is to trick you into providing personal or banking information so they can gain access to your accounts and steal your money.

Protect yourself:
❌ Do not provide personal information, account numbers, passwords, or verification codes over the phone.
📞 If you receive a suspicious call claiming to be from your bank, hang up immediately. Then, call your bank directly using the phone number on the back of your debit/credit card or from the bank’s official website to verify whether they were actually trying to contact you.

Remember, scammers can make their phone number look legitimate. When in doubt, hang up and call your bank directly or contact the Sheriff's Office.

Please share this post to help protect your family, friends, and neighbors from becoming victims of these scams.

After taking a break from Friday through Sunday, (I was working on flower arrangements and decor for my daughter’s upcoming wedding) I hit the campaign trail on Monday.
