Today starts “EMS WEEK”, help us show some appreciation to our members who are currently working in EMS and some who have their EMT or higher in the EMS field, those members are as follows.

At 2:09pm yesterday Sandy Ridge Fire was Dispatched to a single vehicle MVA in the 6000 block of Doctor Ralph Stanley Hwy brush 5 arrived on scene to A vehicle that had left the roadway and struck a tree with a elderly person still inside chief Mullins secured the scene and assess the situation after having rescue check the individual to find that they only had minor injuries and because of their age was unable to exit the vehicle without Assistance as other members arrived on scene we executed a plan which involved using the Stokes basket fire department members and rescue members as well as coaL truck drivers that remained on the scene to assist in bringing the patient to the roadway to the awaiting ambulance where they was transported SANDY RIDGE FIRE DEPARTMENT WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ALL THE COAL TRUCK DRIVERS THAT REMAINED ON SCENE AND HELPED WITH THIS INCIDENT WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THINK SHERIFF JEREMY FLEMING FOR HIS ASSISTANCE ALSO WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK VSP YATES TOWING SANDY RIDGE RESCUE
