I am honored to be Re Elected to Colfax City Council I will continue to advocate hard to ensure we get our fair share of State and Federal money, grants that help build our beautiful city and to ensure public safety is first in this rural area. I will also continue to fight hard to ensure that our civil liberties are kept in place and that our rural issues are not left unnoticeable. I also want to take time to Thank Kim Douglass for his dedicated 8 years of service to the community. I am excited that David Ackerman whom I endorsed for his 2020 campaign to serve our city made the #2 spot and will sit on council 2021-2024 season, he is a bright, hard working businessman that has been active on boards and dedicated to our community for 10+ years. Councilmember Ackerman will add a new perceptive to council and will keep your voice at his forefront. The new Colfax Councilmembers and City Treasurer Tim Ryan will be sworn into office at next week's regular 12/8/20 6pm councilmeeting.

FENTANYL ALERT: Overdose Deaths Rising!

Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid analgesic that is like morphine, but it is 50 to 100 times more potent. In some cases, pure powder fentanyl the size of a few grains of salt can be fatal.

Fentanyl overdoses have been caused by the user ingesting counterfeit prescription pain pills laced with fentanyl. The pills are made to resemble true and legitimate pain medication such as Percocet or Dilaudid and the fake pills even have the same shape, color, impressions, and size.

These pills are ending up in the hands of young people who have no idea how deadly they are. Please share and talk with teens in your life to alert them. These deadly fake pills are around in our community right now. Granite Wellness Centers Auburn Police Department (CA)

Hi Colfax voters!

Did you know you have options other than USPS to make sure your ballots make their way to be counted? There will be three other options if you do not wish to mail in your ballot.

1. You can come in and vote in person at the Placer County Elections Office and Placer County Elections Warehouse beginning on October 5, 2020. Both locations will be open Monday thru Friday from 8am to 5pm.

* Placer County Elections Office – 2956 Richardson Drive, Auburn

* Placer County Elections Warehouse – 3715 Atherton Road, Rocklin

2. you can visit ANY Placer County Voter service center. All Voter Service Centers can service all voters in Placer County. For Colfax we will have one at the Sierra Vista Community Center (55 School St, Colfax) on the following days/times.

October 31, 2020 8am – 4pm
November 1, 2020 9am – 5pm
November 2, 2020 9am – 5pm
Election Day 7am – 8p

* Please be sure to bring the Vote by Mail ballot and return envelope that was mailed to you to a Voter Service Center if you choose to vote at one. We will ask you to surrender the ballot that was mailed to you. If you do not bring the ballot mailed to you and your envelope, you may have to vote a provisional ballot.

3. You can drop off your Vote by Mail ballot at any ballot drop box location in Placer County. For Colfax, there will be a ballot drop box at: Colfax City Hall (33 S. Main Street, Colfax) Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm. These boxes will be in place through Election Day.
