Ed Snider Center for Enterprise and Markets The Ed Snider Center is an interdisciplinary Center of Excellence within the Robert H Smith School of Business, promoting innovation and enterprise.

The Ed Snider Center for Enterprise and Markets, housed at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, engages in world-class interdisciplinary research that fosters our understanding of the kind of institutions that promote innovation and enterprise. The center engages in public outreach through teaching, programs, and media and is committed to sharing its knowledge with the

scholarly community, current and prospective students, business leaders, and the public at large. The center was launched in the fall of 2014 with a $5 million gift from the Snider Foundation, led by alumnus Ed Snider. The commitment was the second-largest in school history, behind a $15 million gift from Robert H. Smith in 1997. A $1 million commitment from the Charles Koch Foundation provided additional support for the Ed Snider Center.
