Project Playground: The Fort

Project Playground: The Fort Rogers Junior High Advanced Studies group wants to partner with you to build a playground at Fort Walla Walla Park. They are the today's leaders.

These are the faces of Rogers Junior High Advanced Studies. They are young teens working for the community of Walla Walla. It is their plan to bring a playground to Fort Walla Walla Park by 2017. Every Friday they write grants and proposals, make phone calls, create videos, and speak to businesses in the valley. Be sure to give them your support and encouragement when they come knocking at your door.

Happy 4th of July. Here is an update on Project Playground. We are sooo close! Another $12,000 to call it done! Please help us to finish our goal.

A big thank you to Sherwood Trust for the $28,000 grant approval. We appreciate you supporting our goal to build a playground at Fort Walla Walla Park. This grant, combined with all of the recent donations from community members and businesses, has put us much closer to making this a reality. If our Home Depot grant is approved we will only need $10,000 more to be finished funding this project. We are planning a spring install, followed by a community ribbon cutting celebration. Names of our donors will be engraved on a path leading up to the playground. If you know of anyone who may be interested in donating, please let us know.

These kids have a deadline of one more week! May 5th. They need $12,000 in order to go to the next phase with Sherwood Trust. They are almost there!! Please consider helping.

Great interview with Sherwood Trust today. They were wonderful to the kids, and genuinely interested in their work. So thankful for this real life education for our students.
