Good Wednesday Morning Everyone!

It is the day after Election Day and the votes have been tabulated. (Guess what, there was no "election fraud," lol.) What I want to do first is congratulate Bob Yancy. He has always been kind to me and I have no doubt he will work hard for College Station. I also want to thank Willie Blackmon and all of my fellow candidates running in other races. Whether you won or not, you played your parts. We got out there and fired up the voters. Who'd have thought we could pull that off during a college town midterm election?!

College Station voters asked hard questions with real needs and issues. They forced us to dig deep for possible solutions and if your fates were up to me, I'd say this gardening experience has only just begun.

Thank you to the handful of individuals- you know who you are- who assisted me throughout this process. You all helped make this a pleasant and not-so-overwhelming experience. Most importantly, thank you to everyone who voted for me. I am grateful for the opportunity to help make democracy work. I look forward to working with everyone in the future on ways we can move our paths forward because a structure is only as good as its builders. When we brainstorm the layout and lay the foundation together, we can reach solid, long-standing success.

You know it's genuine when a Horn closes out her thoughts with a simple phrase of kinship. Gig 'Em. 👍🏼

Whichever way it goes, today is the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. Hopefully I'm going to be your next City Council person. If not, I will continue to work beside you at the residential level to make - a beautiful place today and an even better place tomorrow.

For those who didn't vote during , today is the day!

It's and I'm currently on campus connecting with my people. Remember, guys, the is your community and your vote is your voice.

Do you want the cost of living lowered?
Do you want good public transportation?
Do you want reinstated at the MSC?

It's the last day to cast a ballot. Polls close at 7 PM, but if you're already in line, you can't be turned away. Remember that a structure is only as good as its foundation, and we are the builders.

Good Monday Afternoon Everyone!

It's the day before so I just want to make sure everyone has their ducks in a row. Here is a list of all of the polling locations that will be open tomorrow throughout Bryan-College Station. is a vote-at-large community, which means you can live in one community and vote in the other.

Each location will be open from 7 A - 7 P, and if you are in line before 7 P you cannot be turned away. It's against the rules. :)
Take your pick from the list below.

On Friday Brazos Valley Blessings held its Second Annual Christmas Gala. A grassroots organization that relies 100% on donations, BVB is committed to breaking the poverty cycle in the community.

Inspired by her late husband, Amber Robertson founded BVB in October 2020 as a response to the pandemic. What was intended to be a one-time seasonal act for spreading holiday cheer has quickly solidified itself as a 501(c)3 charity in .

In thanks to supportive local businesses, KBTX Media, and KAGS TV, the event was a success. Sometimes we must remind ourselves that giving is not a seasonal thing. With three holy seasons close on the calendar, let us not forget one of the most important commands: Love thy neighbor as thyself.

It's the last day of my friends! This is your community, and it is up to you who runs it, but only if you for it!

Check out the sample ballot attached to this post. If you want to dig deeper into everything these propositions cover (there is far more than what appears on paper) then go to https://theeagle.com/news/brazos-county-seeks-passage-of-two-transportation-propositions-on-november-ballot/article_ea4078c0-53ea-11ed-b8ac-7ffbdf67e021.html for further explanation on Props A and B.

This article https://theeagle.com/opinion/columnists/voters-face-four-non-candidate-issues/article_c02d679a-55a8-11ed-9762-dff7ef9e9728.html elaborates more on Props C - E. Again, there is more to all of these propositions, with exception to E, than what meets the eye. You may exhibit support for one element, but not such strong support for another. For instance, did you know there are parts to Prop A that would affect teacher's pay? All I can say is do your research.

It was lunch hour at City Hall!

After was removed from the campus, I recruited state and national action groups that would stand up to power and fund buses for our students and faculty.

If you want someone who works for the community to get stuff done vote for me.

Yesterday Donnie Tuggle reported that the Brazos Valley Groundwater Conservation District has approved a drilling and operating permit for a Houston-based water company to drill water wells in several Brazos Valley districts. The water pumped is expected to exceed the yearly combined total of the cities of Bryan and College Station along with Texas A&M University.

This looks like it was a pretty quiet decision that most residents were not in the loop on. As a Brazos Valley resident, how do you feel about this? Share your thoughts here.

A permit recently approved by the Brazos Valley Groundwater Conservation District paves the way for 13 new wells for Upwell Brazos Valley Farm, LLC. to extract water from in Robertson County just outside the Hearne City Limits.

I spent the afternoon at College Station Utilities today.

Let's just say that if I don't win, I think I've found my next service job as a crosswalk officer. I am directing traffic more than I am waving my sign. Lol
Luckily, there hasn't been a wreck yet. ;-)

Happy Halloween, y'all!!Now come vote...you never know when the zombies are going to rearise.
