It’s Why Ambassador Wednesday! This week, we are highlighting Landri Laing ’28, a first-generation Aggie from Lindale, Texas. Landri’s commitment to her community and passion for selfless service exemplify the Aggie Network and the Core Values.
Landri is pursuing a degree in Animal Science and plans to become a general dentist and eventually open her own practice. Her passion for serving others and commitment to excellence are reflected in her work as a Simulation Assistant at the Texas A&M Health Science Center, where she helps prepare equipment and support healthcare simulations. On campus, she serves as a Staff Assistant for The Big Event and mentors students through Freshman Exemplifying Aggie Spirit Together (FEAST). She also serves on the Community Service Committee for the Pre-Dental Society and is a member of the Boxing Team.
Landri shares, “I wanted to become an Ambassador because I saw it as an opportunity to serve and give back to a place that has already blessed me in so many ways. One of the sweetest things you can do for someone is make them feel seen, valued, and appreciated, and I love getting to do just that while representing the university I love so dearly. One of my favorite things about being an Ambassador is getting to know people, hearing their stories and making them feel special. Whether it’s building friendships with fellow Ambassadors, connecting with current students, or hearing former students reminisce about their time at Texas A&M, it is special to serve as a bridge between generations of Aggies and see how much this university means to so many people.”
Landri strengthens the Aggie Network through her leadership and meaningful connections with others. Her dedication, passion for service, and encouragement make her a valued member of the Ambassador team and reflect what it means to be an Aggie.
Outside the classroom, Landri enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing guitar, exploring the outdoors and traveling. Guided by her deep-rooted faith and desire to put others first, she continues to make a positive impact on the Aggie Network and her community.
