Alderman Charles Hall

Alderman Charles Hall Alderman, Position 1- Collierville, TN I am honored to be on Collierville’s Board of Mayor and Alderman.

As were my ancestors before me, I am invested in Collierville and its future is a direct parallel to that of my own. I am in a position to know the history of this great community as well as have the youth and energy to be heavily involved in its future. I am a lifelong resident and sixth generation Colliervillian. My wife and I own Hewlett & Dunn Boot and Clothing Company that has been a Town Square mainstay since 1961.

The Town of Collierville will remove two trees on Town Square on Saturday, August 22, following safety recommendations from a certified arborist.

The affected trees, located on the Square directly in front of the Silver Caboose, have recently begun dropping limbs and were found to be in severe decline during inspection. Based on their compromised condition, the arborist recommended prompt removal to address public safety concerns and eliminate potential risks to pedestrians, parked vehicles, and surrounding property.

Schedule and Traffic Impact:
• Work is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, beginning at 7:00 AM and expected to wrap up by 4:00 PM or as soon as work is completed.
• One travel lane will be closed to traffic during work hours. Appropriate detour signage and traffic control barriers will be in place to navigate drivers safely around the work zone.
• To minimize disruption to local businesses and visitors, the project was intentionally scheduled on a Saturday when the adjacent Silver Caboose is closed. Public Works staff have also reached out directly to open Square businesses to provide advance notice.

Thanks to President of Main St. Chad Kelsey for hosting Mornings with Main St. He invited a great guest speaker from the Tennessee Historical Commission, Stevie Malenowski, who gave great insight into the management of our Historic District.

"Really, the only reason for us moving was schools." 🏫

Suburban school districts are driving an explosive population shift in Shelby County. Arlington is up nearly 500%, Lakeland over 100%, and Collierville 58%.

Parents, did school districts influence where you chose to buy your home? 👇
