โญShould the Colonial Park Mall sell following the online auction now scheduled for July, Lower Paxton Township officials already have zoning in place to assist new owners with redeveloping the site.
โญAdditionally, two bills in the state Legislature โ authored by ๐๐๐ฉ. ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ง ๐

โญ โThe Colonial Park Mall was once a jewel in our township, and we believe with the right redevelopment plan it can shine again,โโ said ๐๐จ๐ฐ๐ง๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐ฎ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ ๐๐ก๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐ง ๐๐จ๐๐ข๐ง ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌ๐๐ฒ. โJust as we have worked with the current owners of the land, our Township is ready to work with new owners to create what we hope will be a regional destination.โ

๐ Did you know that the Township meets some of its obligations under Act 101 through the curbside leaf collection program?
๐ This core service was enhanced last year when our Geospatial Analysis Intern worked with management staff to develop and implement a custom ESRI GIS Application called ๐๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐๐ค which allows residents to notify us when they place their leaves at the curb.
๐ Our field crews use a tablet to see and clear requests once a pile is collected, allowing us to track progress and allocate resources appropriately.
๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐๐ค now serves as the template for other GIS applications that will provide residents with more efficient access to our services.
๐ All those leaves are composted and turned into useful material. Our compost facility, operated by our Public Works Department, makes this compost available free for residents with a permit. This is not just a service but a sustainable initiative contributing to the betterment of our environment.
