Attention: Parents of school age children, Travelers, Little League and All residents of Mitchell County
Due to state vendor changes and local administration changes, there will be a delay in the issuance of security paper.
-This will affect the ability to issue Birth Certificates and Death Certificates.
-To avoid delays, if possible, please consider obtaining any necessary documents mentioned above before June 19, 2026
-For Texas birth certificates, you can go to any other county in Texas that issues “remote” birth certificates (state office in Austin for long forms).
-For Mitchell County death certificates, you can reach out to your funeral home director or the State Office in Austin.
