Each week, the teacher holding our Sharpest Pencil Award gets to recognize another staff member who has made a difference — and pass the pencil along!

Last week’s recipient, Ms. McDowell, chose Ms. Pitre and shared:
“Hadley has helped me so much this year. Changing grade levels was very daunting, but she is helping me with everything I need. We have already built a wonderful friendship. She is an amazing teacher, and I cannot wait to see what’s in store for her.”

Meet Our MVA Administration Team!

Our administrators are a big part of what makes MVA, MVA! You may know their names and see them around the building, but we wanted our families to have a chance to get to know them a little better.

Meet Principal Nate Pearsall, Dean Alicia Kinsley, and Dean Laura Kosley — and learn a few of their favorite things, what they enjoy outside of school and some fun facts you may not know!

Back in the building and back in the swing of things!

Last week, our Yetis kicked off the new school year and got right back into learning! From settling into new classrooms and meeting teachers to diving into lessons (and mastering those locker combinations! 🔐) it was a great first week back at MVA.

We loved seeing our hallways and classrooms full of students again and are looking forward to everything this school year has in store!

Ms. McDowell has truly stepped up for our students and our team by taking on a new role and jumping in to teach 1st grade. Her flexibility, positive attitude, and willingness to do what is needed for our school community are exactly what it means to be Yeti Strong! 💙

Our teachers and staff have been hard at work this week learning, planning, preparing and getting ready to welcome our Yetis back for another amazing year!
There’s a whole lot that happens behind the scenes before those classroom doors open—and maybe a few sweet treats to help power us through. 😉🍭
We’re learning. We’re prepping. We’re getting excited. And most importantly… we’re READY for our Yetis!

We’ll see you TONIGHT for our Back-to-School Supply Drop-Off — come drop off those supplies, meet your teacher and get ready for the year ahead!

Then it’s officially GO TIME!
