What an AMAZING Two Can Tuesday!

We’re still feeling the love from this year’s Two Can Tuesday at the Colorado State Fair!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who brought two cans, came out to the fair, and helped support Care and Share Food Bank. Your generosity helps provide food to neighbors across Southern Colorado.

We’re so grateful to the Colorado State Fair for partnering with us and helping turn a fun day at the fair into an opportunity to give back to our community.

MYTH : You can no longer buy sugary drinks with SNAP in Colorado.

FACT : A federal court blocked Colorado’s plan to restrict sugary drinks. For now, SNAP benefits can still be used to purchase non-alcoholic beverages like water, tea, milk, soda, energy drinks, and sports drinks, just as they could before.

We had our first collaboration with Uproot, and what an amazing day of gleaning at Dionisio Farms in Pueblo!

A huge THANK YOU to the 19 Uproot volunteers who came out and put in the work. Together, you helped bring an incredible 1,699 pounds of fresh corn back to the food bank!

Gleaning helps make sure good food doesn’t go to waste while getting fresh, nutritious produce into the hands of our neighbors who need it most.

We’re so grateful for partnerships like this that bring Colorado farmers, volunteers, and hunger relief together.

Today, we’re celebrating our loyal, loving, and sometimes very goofy four-legged friends! At Care and Share, we know that pets are family, too. That’s why we’re proud to support programs and partners that help make sure our furry friends have access to food alongside the people who love them.

Because no family should have to choose between putting food on the table and feeding their best friend. So today, give your pup an extra treat, a few belly rubs, and lots of love from all of us at Care and Share!
