The Alliance Party of South Carolina is the official state affiliate of the national Alliance Party, We envision an America that works for everyone...a future of fairness & opportunity where the government acts with integrity & solves problems. National polls have shown that Americans are consistently ranking “politics/government” among the country’s most imperative problems and 2/3 of citizens ar
e unhappy with the direction of the country. When asked, the majority of Americans say that neither of the two dominant parties represents their interests. Founded in 2014 by a Democrat and a Republican, the American Party represents a different approach to politics. In its inaugural election, after only nine months in existence, it became the third most popular political party in South Carolina. On October 14, 2018 a group of independent state political organizations, including the American Party, joined together to create the Alliance Party. We are off to an impressive beginning and want you to join in our exciting future!

The Middle East is changing fast; from Iran’s regional network of armed groups to new security partnerships forming across the region.
What should America’s strategy be toward Iran and the Middle East going forward?
A) Stronger military deterrence (hit "Like")
B) Renewed diplomacy and regional agreements (hit "Love")
C) Reduce U.S. involvement and let regional powers balance each other (hit "Wow")
D) Something else entirely? - Comment on it
We believe that whatever the strategy, the goal should be protecting American interests while avoiding endless wars.

An Independence Day message from the Alliance Party:
Whether we agree that all of these lives were directly sacrificed for "Freedom" or, in some cases, for political and/or territorial purposes, they were all willing to sacrifice for the purpose of defending our freedoms.
It is a monumental debt that is owed by all of us; to repay in any way called upon.
Since the birth of our country, almost 3 million Americans have laid down their lives in direct defense of our freedoms and our future. Now is the time to come together as they have. To set aside petty differences and to join our voices in unison. To stand beside them as we collectively defend, once more, the future and freedom of our great nation.
We must heal the growing divisions in our country. We owe it to the Americans who have sacrificed their lives to give us this very opportunity. We owe it to ourselves. We owe it to our children.
It is time to come together as allies. To quit being adversaries. And, to collectively defend everything that America ever, or will ever, stand for.

For Women's History Month, please join the National Park Service and our partners in commemorating and encouraging the exploration of the vital role of women in American history. First promoted by Congress in 1981 as Women's History Week, since 1995, presidents have issued a series of annual proclamations designating the month of March as Women’s History Month. These proclamations celebrate the contributions women have made to the United States and recognize groundbreaking individuals and specific achievements.
From the women who supported the American Revolution to those who are shattering barriers today, the memorials of the National Mall and Belmont-Paul Women's Equality National Monument are linked to countless stories of women's contributions and successes. We look forward to sharing these important chapters throughout the month and around the year.

“From The American Party of South Carolina to The Alliance Party” - Our Story
In January of 2014, The American Party of South Carolina was certified by the State of South Carolina to be on the ballot. This new political party, which had been started by a prominent Democrat and a prominent Republican, offered a new approach to politics. The American Party was certified after supporters of the new party collected more than 16,000 signatures from registered voters in all 46 counties of South Carolina.
Thousands of South Carolinians signed the petition between 2012-2013 because they were tired of the two choices provided by the historical parties. They were tired of choosing between the lesser of two evils and finding themselves often voting against a candidate/party rather than for a candidate/party.
Ten months later, in the 2014 midterm elections, the U.S. experienced the lowest voter turnout in more than 70 years, at a dismal 36.6%. When asked, the majority of Americans said that neither of the two dominant parties represented their interests.
Against this negative backdrop, in its inaugural election, and after only nine months in existence, the American Party produced formidable candidates and became a viable choice on the ballot.
In the five years since its inception, the American Party of S.C. competed in every general election and one special election; ran a candidate for president of the United States; ran two candidates (a white woman and an African American man) for the U.S. Senate; ran a number of candidates for the U.S .Congress; ran two candidates for statewide offices (one man and one woman); and ran a number of candidates (consisting of men, women, and minorities) for the S.C. legislature.
Despite its increasingly competitive candidates and its growing name recognition and credibility as a party that required term limits, transparency, reasoned, pragmatic problem solving, and ethical conduct, the problems of our nation and of our state continued to not only grow, they accelerated.
Sometimes, having the right answer to a problem is not enough. It must be an answer that can be applied broadly enough, and quickly enough, to make the difference needed.
Therefore, when the leadership of the American Party was asked if the party would become a founding member of a new national effort that would embrace many of its principles and to merge with other like-minded existing parties, the answer was yes. Yes, because this new and unprecedented alliance provides the opportunity to have the necessary critical mass to compete effectively with the two political parties that are not only failing to solve our country’s problems, but are making them worse.
The Alliance Party intends to return America to a leadership role in the world in ways that serve the American people, without dividing us. We are not adversaries. We are not combatants. We are, and must be, allies in our pursuit of the American dream and a more perfect union. Our nation needs allies like never before in its history. Please consider:
