Sistercare

Sistercare Sistercare's mission is to reduce the occurrence and impact of domestic violence in the Midlands.

We offer advocacy, support, and resources to survivors and their children across Richland, Lexington, Newberry, Kershaw, and Fairfield counties. "Reducing the occurrence and impact of domestic violence in the Midlands." That’s our mission, and we’re achieving it via direct services to survivors, teen and community education, and advocacy. Sistercare’s philosophy is to empower survivors of domestic

violence and their children to live free of intimate partner violence; become educated about domestic violence; be able to make informed decisions; take responsibility for themselves and their children; and achieve self-sufficiency. This philosophy is applied by offering survivors of domestic violence and their children a range of supportive, trauma-informed services.

We had an amazing time at the Mayor’s Walk, supporting two incredible community partners—Sistercare and SCAADVASA! Our Healthy Relationships for Women committee and shift workers showed up and showed out, connecting with local organizations, helping with t-shirt check-ins, and offering support wherever needed.
It was a beautiful day to be outside, enjoy the fresh air, and cheer on such a vital cause—supporting survivors of domestic violence. 🙌

Last week our office got a visit from some joyful representatives of Women Helping Women from the Center for Advanced Technical Studies! This was more than a drive for these amazing girls - they made this a project to educate their school on the reality of domestic violence and invited everyone to help make an impact. Thank you for stocking our shelves and sharing your stories! Girls like you are what drive the future and change in the world. 💜
