Military Interstate Children's Compact Commission in Ohio

Military Interstate Children's Compact Commission in Ohio Ohio is committed to MIL Families and the Compact for Educational Opportunities for MIL Children.

The goal of the Compact is to replace the widely varying policies affecting transitioning military students. The Compact leverages consistency: It uses a comprehensive approach that provides a consistent policy in every school district and in every state that chooses to join. The Compact addresses key educational transition issues encountered by military families including enrollment, placement, a

ttendance, eligibility and graduation. Children of active duty members of the uniformed services, National Guard and Reserve on active duty orders, commissioned officers of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Unites States Public Health Service (USPHS), and members or veterans who are medically discharged or retired for one year are eligible for assistance under the Compact.

RED Friday ❤️

Remember Everyone Deployed... Until They All Come Home.

For many military families, every day is a countdown.

A countdown to the next phone call.
A countdown to the next text message.
A countdown to the next video chat.
A countdown to the day they can finally wrap their arms around their loved one again.

While service members are deployed around the world, families at home continue to mark off the days on calendars, celebrate milestones from afar, and hold onto hope for a safe return.

Behind every deployed service member is a family waiting, praying, and counting down to reunion day.

This RED Friday, we honor not only those serving overseas, but also the families who carry on at home with strength, resilience, and unwavering support.

Wear RED today and help us Remember Everyone Deployed until they all come home.
