TEAM 195 🤍🩵

When someone steps up to help- you never forget it.

In Guatemala, the need is enormous. Approximately 70% of the country’s 18 million people rely on the national healthcare system. When that system is overwhelmed, children who desperately need care can fall through the cracks—without access to treatment or anywhere to turn.

This is why organizations like Centro Moore and The Shalom Foundation are so important!

Together we are reaching children in need of dental care who might otherwise never receive it.

With only about 72 dental providers in Guatemala’s national healthcare system, the need far exceeds the capacity. Comprehensive cleft care means showing up for what comes next. Dental treatment. Follow-up care. Additional surgeries. Speech and hearing support. The ongoing care children need as they grow.

Together, we’re showing up, filling gaps, restoring smiles, and giving children the opportunity for healthier, brighter futures. 🌎❤️

Last week we completed our 3rd annual dental mission at the Moore Center. We were able to treat 135 kids in the clinic and completed 61 surgeries. It was a wonderful week filled with memories and moments that will take with us always!

🙌🏻

We may cheer for different sports teams-but when it comes to serving in the mission field we ARE ALL on THE SAME TEAM.

We cheer for that and the opportunity to serve the kids here. It’s already day 5 and we are so grateful for this team!

If you’ve ever considered serving in the mission field-drop us a DM!

😔

If you were curious: there are roughly 72 dentist in the public sector available to providing dental care to the entire Guatemalan population.

The Ministry of Public Heath reports 70% of the population relies on public health.

Thats 1 provider for every 175,000 people.

This week we are with our in country partner Centro Moore providing free dental care to the kids here in Guatemala City. We have some amazing local team members serving with us as we educate and treat these kids who are in desperate need of dental care.

🩵🩵🤍

Our team is evaluating 60 patients for surgery. We have another 100+ scheduled to be treated in the clinic. The wait list to see a dentist here is 7 years.

The kids are why we return every year. They will receive our best because economic status should never determine the access or standard of care received. We love our volunteers.

08/03/2026

Today we meet the kids we have the honor of serving.
They rely on us to show up each year.
We have earned their trust.

We remain committed to helping them and other kids here. This is the day we get to say hello, we got you, and remind them they are worth our best effort’s.
