With the expected dangerously cold weather this week, we are working with our partners at Love Chapel and Centerstone to keep our homeless neighbors safe. Brighter Days has acquired more cots and mats and is prepared to turn away no one because of capacity. They are also arranging for dinner to be provided each evening, so the folks don't have to venture out to the hot meal sites. Tuesday through Thursday, Columbus Township will also be providing transportation each morning and evening between Brighter Days and the new Community Engagement Center. This week, if you see someone outside with nowhere to go during the day (9 a.m. - 6 p.m.), please bring them to 1951 McKinley. If you encounter them during the night (6 p.m. - 9 a.m), please bring them to 421 South Mapleton. We will keep them warm and feed them.
