We have found a good place for the maternity home and office to serve the moms and babies who live with us. There is much to do to get the house ready for residents. We believed that we were in a great place and position with the ministry. We had dozens of moms and babies that we have helped who have lived in the home, attended Bible study, church, mentorship, and many other things. Our program is so much more than a safe place to stay and have your baby and learn some life skills, parenting, etc. We connect you with the community: the Church community, good friends, other young members mom, and a welcome back to visit where you have received not only a place to stay but a family!
There are many projects, updates, cleaning inside and outside to tackle. I will be sending a newsletter by email and posting it on our website with a list of projects, needs for our moms, how to sponsor a resident room that can include furniture, baby gear, new bedding, curtains, etc.
We have in our budget many categories that include utilities, groceries, infant expenses (bassinets, blankets, bottles., etc.), clothing for moms and babies. Also, we have many household expenses for cleaning, laundry, lawn maintenance, pest control, office supplies and equipment. Truly, the list seems endless.
Do you know someone who would enjoy posting on our social media? Do you know or are you a tax accountant you can help us with our financials? Do you like to meet new people and share about what God is doing through Esther’s Place Of Grace? We need you to connect us with your Church, mom‘s group, Facebook friends, etc.
We are focusing heavily on mentorship and selecting Christian women who can volunteer to minister on an individual level with a commitment of 6 months or more. Every young mom wants to be a good mother, but many times they did not have a good example to help them grow and mature into the moms they are today. We are intentional in our mission to break generational poverty, abuse, and addiction. We are changing this generation of mothers to give the next generation (babies) a better life! Can you be an example and mentor one of these young women? We need drivers and babysitters! Do you like to plan events or fundraisers? We have an annual fundraising banquet in April. For five years along with the help of the board, I have put together a program, annual reports, PowerPoint presentations, speakers, music, decorations… the list is endless and can be overwhelming. I would love for someone with a creative mind to step in to start planning our events. Do you have these organizational skills and connections? Each year there are new faces, testimonies, donors, workers, volunteers, board members. Would you consider joining us and making a commitment to serve alongside some of our most faithful yet, overworked volunteers? We need your skills and talents to bring housing and programs that challenge and inspire our young moms to be successful parents to a new generation! We need you ❤️
