Where the crews will be flushing there will be water running down the gutter and flowing into the streets. Customers may see some rusty looking water. If this is the case, please remove the screens on your faucets and let the water run until clear. If you have any questions please call Columbus Utilities at 920-623-5912. Columbus Utilities has recently filed an application with the Public Service Commission (PSC) seeking authorization to move forward with a project to replace aging electric infrastructure. This upgrade includes improvements to substations and distribution equipment to help maintain reliable and efficient service.

As part of its standard process, the PSC reviews all Construction Authorization (CA) requests before any work begins. This review ensures that proposed projects are necessary, cost-effective, and in the best interest of customers. The PSC’s evaluation includes an investigation into the scope and justification of the project before granting approval.

At this time, the project is under review, and no construction activities will begin until the PSC has completed its process and issued a decision.

Over the summer, the Columbus School District completed energy efficiency lighting projects in both the middle school and high school. With these upgrades to LED lighting, they will be saving approximately 90,000 kWh in the first year alone! In addition to these energy savings, by working with Columbus Utilities and WPPI Energy, the school was eligible for $15,605.25 in incentives via our energy efficiency programs.
