Working on an 1891 building feels a lot like forensic construction at times. Can you pick out some of the big changes to our exterior from these old photo?

We’ve had a lot of folks ask about “the stage” in the brewery space. Well this week the carpentry came together for a gorgeous railing and steps up into the back half of the building.

At some point over the past century half of this space was modified from the original pier and beam construction and was brought down to modern day street level. The “stage” was the original floor height for the building and still features the original Texas Heart Pine Floors.
We’re getting excited to see this project nearing completion!

It seems like forever that we’ve been eyeballing the original doors to #101 that were tucked behind loads of lumber and junk on the second story. We are thrilled that they have finally made their way back to where they are supposed to be for and couldn’t be more in love with them. When we brought them down last week I noticed a $100 price tag on them from a liquidation sale that happened years ago. I’ll be forever thankful that nobody bought them, and always looking to track down the things that left. If anyone has any leads on the bank signage, and stained glass windows give us a holler!

Stunning progress on the here at 101 W Grand. We are so looking forward to the finish line on this space and for our friends to call it home. Big thanks to the Bravo 5 Construction crew for keeping us moving! It’s beautiful.
