Today, the Kalamazoo County Clerk released the preliminary signature verification results for the four Comstock Township recall petitions.

The petitions are now in the challenge phase, with challenges due by June 20, 2026, and the County Clerk scheduled to make a final determination on June 25, 2026.
Regardless of the final outcome, I am incredibly grateful to the thousands of Comstock residents who participated in this process. You signed petitions, volunteered your time, had conversations with neighbors, and demonstrated that our community cares deeply about its future.
This effort was never about personal attacks or creating division. It was about giving residents a voice and encouraging accountability in local government.
As we move forward, I hope we can put politics aside and focus on what unites us. We all want safe neighborhoods, responsible spending, transparent government, quality services, and a township that we are proud to call home.
Whether you supported the recalls or opposed them, we are still one community. I remain committed to working with anyone who wants to move Comstock in a positive direction, treat one another with respect, and put the interests of our residents first.
The challenge process will continue through June 20, with a final determination expected on June 25. Until then, let’s remember that democracy is strongest when people participate—and that after every election, petition, or disagreement, we still have the opportunity to come together and move Comstock forward.
