What is a GO Bond?

A General Obligation (GO) Bond is a way for the County to borrow money to pay for major capital projects. If approved by Cabarrus County voters on the November 2026 General Election ballot, the funding would be used for long-term public school needs.

⚠️ Rabies exposure alert

We’re sharing this information from Cabarrus Health Alliance and NC Department of Health and Human Services to help spread awareness.

Please note: Cabarrus County is NOT included among the reported exposure locations.

Possible exposure dates and locations include:
• Statesville
• Lexington
• Mecklenburg County
• Watauga County
• Burke County
• Davie County
• Durham County
• Iredell County

If you believe you may have had contact with one of the affected goats, don’t wait for symptoms to appear. Call Cabarrus Health Alliance at 704-920-1399 to discuss your possible exposure.
