We love our first responders, when we need them they are there. It is really that simple, it may be a career choice but service is a soul calling. You take care of us, it is past time we take care of y’all— and we will. It is time to set it all straight and get us on the path to creating a culture of servant leadership in Conroe. Thank you for your service to our community!

Behind every seat at the table is a mountain of sacrifice. To my family, who hasn’t had a decent Mama Kristin meal in months—thank you for your patience and for carrying me to this moment.

To my husband: You are my rock and my pillar. You give me the freedom to be fearless and provide the soft landing I need when being authentically me feels like too much. I couldn't do this without your strength.

To my daughter: Who unapologetically tells everyone to "Vote for Acorn, vote for my Mama!" I pray I can be half the woman those little eyes believe me to be. The world better watch out—she is a force of nature.

To my Mom and Dad: You modeled the servant leadership that shaped both my brother and me. You instilled in us wisdom, strength, and compassion—and now you’re helping us pass those same values down to your grandkids.

To my brother, Kyle Bartlett: A 20-year veteran of the City of Conroe and my campaign treasurer. You’ve been with me since the beginning, fighting to shine a light into the shadows. Because of you—and the stories of city personnel past and present—I am determined to bring that culture of servant leadership back to our city.

(Insider info, the Bible I placed my hand upon is a Bartlett family heirloom representing many generations)

To my friends, Jennifer Ward and Sandra Burke: Thank you for the shoulders to cry on, the words of affirmation, the countless hours at the polls, and the research that kept us moving. One day, we’ll have to get all these stories into a book!

To our community: Whether you supported us publicly or privately, you are the testament to our "melting pot" city. We may have differences, but as long as we listen with compassion and respect, we can walk away as friends. (I tagged who I could tag, but please know I sincerely and deeply appreciate each and everyone of you❤️)

My heart is full. Now, let's get to work.

A new day, a new week, and a new outlook for our city. Maybe the birdsong is a little sweeter or the sun a little brighter today—whatever it is, it feels incredible.

I’ve spent this past week processing everything, meeting with leaders, and planning our next steps. To be honest, I’ve prayed for this for so long that I didn’t quite know what winning would feel like. I’ve been on a cloud all week, euphoric thinking about all the good we are about to accomplish together.

This journey has been a walk of faith and obedience, and I know it is truly by His design. I am constantly thanking God for the opportunity to serve and for the many new friendships I’ve made along the way.

Thank you, Conroe, for seeing my heart and sharing my passion for this community. Great days are ahead—one day, one problem, and one solution at a time.

Please join us as we are sworn in:
• Where: City Hall
• When: Wednesday, May 13th @ 2:00 PM

We took it back, y’all. Now, it’s time to apply a little TLC and get this city functioning at its absolute best!

Last night was surreal, to see a message sent and received so clearly. Congratulations Conroe, we did it. John, Ken and myself gave it a face and you gave it a voice. Thank you!

God has made us all for a time such as this and I take comfort in knowing that.

Thank you Nick Vonas, Kim Attaya, Kristin Guardino, Jerry O’Neil, James Holian and John Kessler for having the heart to serve. No one can fault another for just wanting to be an asset to their community and I appreciate all of you willing to do just that.

It looks like a likely runoff for Tanya Maddux and Jay Gross, I pray the people of Conroe will show up one more time and cast their vote.

It is my understanding we will be sworn in on May 14th and I look forward to seeing us pack city hall, please come and be witness to the change you voted for. Hold us accountable, speak up, get involved and be a part of this, as a community we will succeed.

We took it back, y’all!

Okay folks 2 more hours to vote! Let take it back, and finish strong!
