A MESSAGE TO THE RESIDENTS OF COPIAGUE FIRE DISTRICT FROM THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS

First the Board would like to thank you for the support you have shown our volunteer members and staff over the years. This support makes the task of our volunteers in providing emergency services to the community much more rewarding.

THE DISTRICT HOLDS THE LINE ON TAXES.

The Fire District just completed its budget process for the adoption of 2024 Fire District Budget. The Board was able to Finalize a Budget that MAINTAINS a High Level of Emergency Services to the Community WITHOUT A TAX INCREASE. This Represents a Second Year in a Row that the District was able to approve a budget without any TAX INCREASES TO OUR RESIDENTS.

The Board of Fire Commissioners has implemented an Ambulance Billing Program which was approved by The New York State Legislature in 2022. The goal of program is to enhance Emergency Medical Services provided to the Community and reduce the tax burden of the homeowner in the community.

THE COPIAGUE FIRE DISTRICT EVOLVES WITH THE COMMUNITY

On The Fire Operational Side The Fire District purchase a New Tower Ladder Vehicle to replace an Existing Piece of Fire Apparatus that was in operation for Twenty-Five Years. The New State of the Art Tower Ladder will Assist the District in the Meeting the Evolving needs of the Community

The Board is also set to Commence Construction of a Fire Training Facility to Supplement the Training provided to the Volunteer members who Provide Fire Protection to the District Residents
