We know you want to have a great view of the parade floats as they go by! While you make your plans, please note that the median along Parkway Blvd. between Lodge Rd. and Enclaves Ct. will not be available for spectator seating.

But don’t fret! There are still plenty of places to sit and enjoy the patriotic floats along the sidewalks on both the north and south sides of Parkway. We’ll see you on Saturday morning (7/3) at 9am when the parade kicks off!

We can't wait to see you on Saturday for our Celebrate Coppell events! The Parade Down Parkway is a pet-friendly event. Pet owners are asked to keep their pets leashed and clear of the road.

Party in the Park will feature a fireworks display at approximately 9:30 pm. We recommend that you leave any non-service animal at home. High temperatures and loud fireworks may cause anxiety and stress for dogs.

With the holiday weekend coming up, please remember pet safety. This weekend and the days following are generally some of the busiest days of the year for animal shelters. Even the most well behaved, socialized pets can get startled by fireworks or other events on a weekend like this and escape from their owners control or even bite someone. Please leave them at home in a secure location if you plan to attend a public event, this weekend.

Below is some helpful information to share.

Beginning the week of July 5, Public Works will begin construction of the Denton Creek Grade Control Structure. Construction will require the section of trail that follows Denton Creek underneath Denton Tap and connects Andrew Brown West to Andrew Brown Central, as well as an additional short section of trail and some parking spaces at Andrew Brown West, to be closed for the duration of the project (estimated to be 6 weeks.)

During construction, park users are encouraged to follow all detour signs and throughout the parks. Alternate routes in varying lengths are available at Andrew Brown East and West, so that users can continue to recreate with minimal impact during the project. Detour maps and alternate routes are provided online. Users should follow suggested routes to cross Denton Tap Road from Andrew Brown West to Central and should NOT cross at park entrances, where no crosswalk exists.
