Coppell Senior & Community Center Drive-Thru Holiday Lunch

Staff at the Coppell Senior and Community Center at Grapevine Springs welcomed members for a drive-thru holiday lunch on Wednesday, December 9. Traditionally, the Holiday Lunch is a time for fellowship and festivities, this year staff wanted to find a way to celebrate with members in a safe manner. Over 100 members were served with a hearty lunch. Staff members were served with welcoming smiles from Senior Center members. #CoppellRecreatesResponsibly #CoppellParks #CoppellTX

It’s #TeamMemberThursday! Say “Hi!” to Donnell Wyatt. 👋Donnell is a Maintenance Worker for our Park Operations division and has been with Coppell Parks & Recreation for 18 years! In his daily work, Donnell works with his crew to maintain turf, mow and prep softball and baseball fields for game play, and maintain trails. His favorite part about what he does is being able to provide citizens with parks and facilities in great condition! The CORE: Recreate Responsibly

Wintertime is here! As workouts start to move indoors, we invite you to #RecreateResponsibly with Coppell Parks & Recreation this season! Show us how you recreate at our parks and facilities while doing your part to slow the spread of COVID-19, including:
- Wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible
- Avoid touching your face whenever possible
- Wash your hands frequently (using alcohol-based hand sanitizer soap and water and soap are not available)
- Maintain at least six feet of distance between members of your household and others while outdoors

DEADLINE EXTENDED! Deck your home (or business) with rows of lights! Coppell homes and businesses are invited to celebrate the holiday season by decorating homes, yards, or storefronts for the City of Coppell’s first-ever holiday lights competition.

Register by MIDNIGHT tonight (11/30) and show your holiday spirit by adorning your space with lights and other festive décor. Unleash your creativity and bring a smile to your friends and neighbors by showing us your holiday best!

Open to Coppell residents and businesses only. Spaces must be fully decorated by 5pm on Friday (12/4) and able to stay up until January 1, 2021. Visit coppelltx.gov/holidays to register before time runs out!
