Truly humbled and honored doesn’t even begin to capture how I feel.
Currently serving as the Deputy Commanding General for Operations with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), this journey has been nothing short of incredible.
Now, I have the privilege to help shape and mentor the next generation of Army leaders—a responsibility I hold with the utmost seriousness and gratitude.
I’m beyond thankful for this opportunity to give back to the Army that has given me so much. Looking forward to assuming these duties later this year.
Go Army!

Leadership in Action: Modernization and Congressional Engagement
As the Joint Program Executive Officer for Armaments and Ammunition, I hosted Dr. Bruce Jette (left), then Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASA(ALT)), during a strategic visit focused on the modernization of U.S. ammunition plants. Enhancing efficiency, safety, and readiness remains a top priority. Also pictured is Chris Grassano (right), Deputy Joint Program Executive Officer.
In a separate engagement, I briefed members of Congress on operations at Picatinny Arsenal, underscoring the installation’s role in national defense innovation.
In the foreground, I welcome U.S. Rep. Mikie Sherrill, whose congressional district includes the arsenal. In the background, U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross is greeted by John F. Hedderich III, Director of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center.

Brigadier General Vincent Malone, Senior Commander of the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center and Deputy Commanding General, along with Doug Tamilo, Director of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Soldier Center and Natick Soldier Systems Center, had the honor of showcasing the incredible work being done by the talented teams and soldiers at the Soldier Systems Center.
These demonstrations highlighted cutting-edge technologies being developed to ensure our military remains equipped with the most advanced and mission-ready gear on the battlefield.
A heartfelt thank you to Senate President Karen E. Spilka for graciously hosting this informative event—and to all those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to enhance the safety, readiness, and effectiveness of our men and women in uniform.

In the face of chaos, we stand not only as defenders of security but as restorers of peace.
As soldiers, our mission goes beyond holding the line. We bring calm to conflict, forge unity in division, and offer hope where fear once ruled.
We confront the devastation of war with strength and resolve not just to drive out fear, but to teach resilience. We help others rise, defend what is theirs, and reclaim their freedom with courage and pride.
Because freedom is never free. It comes with a cost, and we are here to pay it.

Unquestionably, the greatest honor has been the opportunity to lead at this level.
I wouldn’t ask to do it again under the circumstances of a global pandemic and I wouldn’t wish that challenge on anyone. But to lead in a time of such uncertainty, when there was no script to follow, has been incredibly rewarding.
It’s been a true privilege to serve alongside an exceptionally educated and technically proficient workforce experts in the field of armaments and ammunition who not only carried out the mission, but also took the time to teach me the craft.
Leadership in times like these tests everything but it also reveals the strength of the team behind you.

The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), in coordination with U.S. Northern Command, has activated eight C-130 Hercules aircraft equipped with Modular Aerial Fire Fighting Systems (MAFFS) to support wildfire suppression efforts in the Los Angeles area.
These aircraft and their highly trained crews stand ready to assist interagency partners in protecting lives, property, and critical infrastructure.
A unified response is key. This mission reflects our commitment to supporting civil authorities in times of urgent need.
