🌟 Celebrating Our 2026–2027 AOC Youth Board — A Year of Impact, Heart & Leadership

What an unforgettable year.
As the 2026–2027 Angels Over Cliffs Youth Board comes to a close, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for these incredible high school students who chose to spend their year loving, serving, and showing up for our Cliff Climber children and families experiencing homelessness in Corona.

This team didn’t just volunteer —
They led, they created, they served, and they loved with their whole hearts.

Here’s just a glimpse of what they accomplished:

✨ Paint Parties & Craft Days — from Valentine’s creations to Mother’s Day gifts, they made sure every child felt seen and celebrated.
🎬 Movie Nights & Summer Fun Days — joy‑filled moments that gave our kids a chance to laugh, play, and just be kids.
🥫 Food Drive — collecting over 300 food items to support families living in motels.
🧺 Thanksgiving Baskets — assembling full holiday meals for families facing housing instability.
🧼 Hygiene Drive — gathering hundreds of hygiene items for people experiencing homelessness in our community.
👶 Childcare Support — watching the children so parents could attend educational classes and Bible study.
📖 Children’s Bible Study — created and led by the youth board themselves.
🎤 Community Events — serving at our Gala and our first annual Corona’s Got Talent show with excellence, kindness, and professionalism.

These 14 young leaders went above and beyond — not because they had to, but because they care deeply about the children and families we serve.

And the community noticed.
We received so much beautiful feedback about their kindness, their leadership, and their willingness to step in wherever needed.

To our Youth Board:
You showed up.
You served with joy.
You made a difference.
And you reminded our Cliff Climbers that they are loved, valued, and never alone.

From all of us at Angels Over Cliffs —
Thank you. We are so proud of you.

Bingo Committee

Angels Over Cliffs is looking for a few more people to join our Bingo fundraising committee.

This committee meets 1 to 2 times a month on zoom to discuss planning and coordinating our monthly bingo fundraisers.

You would also need to volunteer with us the second Friday of every month at Graziano's for bingo.

Bingo is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Volunteers would arrive at 5:00 and we would be out by 8:30 maybe 9:00 p.m.

Please let me know if you're interested in joining this committee. All funds raised from our monthly Bingo will go back into our housing program so we can house more families this year.

We have an urgent need this morning.

We've got a family whose experiencing homelessness and they're short on Motel funds this week.

It's important that we keep them safe and protected in a local Motel because the husband has diabetes and his medication has to stay refrigerated.

We need to raise $650 to keep them safe and sheltered for the next 7 days.

Remember your donations are tax deductible, we are a 501c3 non-profit organization.

🦞💙 Community Power on Full Display at Corona Rotary’s Lobsterfest! 💙🦞

Yesterday, the Corona Rotary hosted their annual Lobsterfest, and once again they proved why community partnerships matter so much here in Corona. Funds raised from this event go right back into supporting local nonprofits — including organizations like Angels Over Cliffs.

We were proud to show up in full force with 15 incredible AOC volunteers, and together we packed 500 meals in just 25 minutes. That’s what happens when service-minded people come together with purpose and heart.

Because of our volunteer service, Angels Over Cliffs will also receive a grant check from the Corona Rotary — support that directly fuels our mission to uplift hidden‑homeless families in our city.

💙 Thank you, Corona Rotary, for your commitment to local nonprofits.
💙 Thank you, AOC volunteers, for showing up and showing off.

When community and partnership come together, everyone rises.

This has been a week for sure.
Been in bed for 3 days....phone is off. Doctors orders!!
Yesterday was Cliff's birthday.
We are celebrating late, but we ARE celebrating 💛

I am so proud of you Cliff Hair!!

💙 A Birthday Poem for Cliff 💙

Fifty‑four years of living, loving, and rising through the storm,
A life rebuilt from ashes into som**hing brave and warm.
Cliff, my heart, you’ve walked through fire and came out shining bright,
A warrior shaped by struggle, held together by God’s light.

From days when darkness chased us, when hope felt thin and small,
To a Motel 6 where brokenness became a sacred call,
Where we found our knees, found our faith, found a brand‑new start,
Where God reached down and rewrote every corner of your heart.

You stood beside me through the valley, through addiction, through the pain,
And when the world felt heavy, you carried love like rain.
You fought for us with courage, with humility, with grace,
And every trial we survived carved strength upon your face.

Then came the day we rose again, baptized on Christmas Eve,
Two souls reborn in mercy, in a promise we believed.
And from that miracle of healing, from the wounds we overcame,
You built Angels Over Cliffs, giving hope a living name.

Today I celebrate the man who leads with heart and steady hands,
Who lifts the lost, who loves the least, who always understands.
A husband, a servant, a shepherd, a friend,
A man whose story God keeps using again and again.

So happy birthday, my love, my partner, my forever friend,
May this year bring joy and blessings only Heaven can send.
For every mountain we’ve climbed, for every tear we’ve cried,
I thank God for your life… and for walking it by your side.

Happy 54th Birthday, Cliff
With all my love,
Your wife.

🌷✨ Happy Mother’s Day — With Love, Faith, and Gratitude ✨🌷
From all of us at Angels Over Cliffs

Today, we lift up every mother in our community — and the beautiful, resilient mothers in our Angels Over Cliffs program — with hearts full of gratitude and prayer.

To the moms who rise before the sun…
To the moms who carry both hope and hardship…
To the moms rebuilding their lives with courage…
To the moms whose love becomes shelter, strength, and sanctuary…

You are living testimonies of God’s faithfulness.

May the Lord wrap you in peace today.
May He restore what was lost, renew what was broken, and remind you that you are chosen, cherished, and deeply loved.

“Her children arise and call her blessed.” — Proverbs 31:28

From our family to yours,
Happy Mother’s Day 💛🌷
May God continue to shine His light upon every mother we serve and every mother who supports this mission.

05/08/2026

Lately I’ve been learning som**hing about myself that I never understood before — and I want to share it because I know I’m not the only one walking through this.

As I’ve stepped into EMDR and trauma therapy, and as I move through menopause, my emotions have been raw and sensitive. For the first time, I’m realizing just how much my body has been carrying for decades.

I always knew I had lived through chronic, complex trauma.
But I didn’t understand that my body was still holding every moment of it.

And then another truth hit me:
During the two years we were homeless, I was also deep in addiction. I was using m**h because I was trying to numb the pain of losing our forever home. I didn’t realize then that the addiction itself was creating another layer of trauma inside my body.

Trauma and addiction don’t sit separately.
They fuse together.
They shape the nervous system.
They change how the body learns to survive.

My body learned to stay alert, tense, guarded, braced.
It learned that the drug meant relief.
It learned that homelessness meant danger.
It learned that survival meant shutting down emotions just to get through the day.

Now, years later, my body is finally speaking.

I feel the stored trauma in my gut.
In my chest.
In my heart.
In my hips.
In my shoulders.
In my jaw.
It’s everywhere — because that’s where I carried my entire life.

And here’s what I’m learning:

Healing isn’t just emotional. It’s physical.
The body remembers what the mind tries to forget.

Trauma rewired my nervous system.
Addiction rewired my brain chemistry.
Homelessness rewired my sense of safety.
And now therapy is helping me rewire it all again — this time toward healing.

My body is finally releasing.
Finally thawing.
Finally learning that it doesn’t have to live in survival mode anymore.

If you’re in a season like this — raw, emotional, sensitive, overwhelmed — it doesn’t mean you’re breaking down.
It means your body is waking up.
It means you’re healing.
It means you’re finally safe enough to feel what you once had to bury.

I’m sharing this because people have told me that my journey gives them hope.
If my healing helps someone else begin theirs, then none of this is wasted.

We can heal.
Our bodies can heal.
Our nervous systems can heal.
It takes time, compassion, and awareness — but it’s possible.

I’m living proof.
