Mesa Verde Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #74 is proud to announce our endorsement of Tyson Cox for Montezuma County Sheriff.
Throughout this election process, Tyson Cox has demonstrated professionalism, leadership, and a clear understanding of the operational and staffing challenges facing modern law enforcement. He has consistently shown a willingness to engage with deputies, detention staff, and members of our community regarding the future of the Sheriff’s Office and the direction it must take moving forward.
Our membership believes that Tyson Cox recognizes the importance of workforce stability, training, officer wellness, accountability, and modernization within the Sheriff’s Office. We also believe he understands that strong public safety services depend upon strong relationships, both within the agency and throughout the community.
